PRACTISING MINDFULLNESS

Being present is an important aspect of worship, immersing oneself in the full process of it. Preparing the body to take the full benefits of worship—in full. Taking the mind, body and soul alongside all acts of Ibaadaat.
And this is something we have to be reminded of, from time to time—“Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well.”
Salah is totally worth standing for—so why drag your feet to the washroom for wudhu? Stand diligently, fold your arms in obedience, allow the moment to be for you and your Lord alone. Erase all thoughts, say the verses of the Qur’an in total humility, be calm, be present.
Dhikr is totally worth rolling your tongue for—so why rush the praises/glorification/thanks of your Lord? Stay firm, breathe in and out. Take your time to say the praises of the creator of time—a word at a time. Stop and Ponder, if you can, reflect on these words, be obedient, be present.
Dua’a is totally worth raising your hands for—so why hasten your requests to Al-mujeeb, the one that loves to respond to the call of the caller when he calls? Start with the praises of him, for he loves to be praised, thank him for all the blessings he has given you, send salutations upon the best of mankind, Rasoolullah [صلى الله عليه وسلم], repent for your previous sins. Then begin, place your requests gently with Imaan and ask, and ask, and repeat. Cry if you wanna, but don’t ever be defeated, because HE loves for asking to be repeated. With humility, be present.
And when you start to start to include Mindfulness in your worships, you experience full Ihsan, excellence and quality of Imaan, in your life.
So the next time you wanna hasten and get it done with, Remember the words of Allah in the Qur’an, [Q23:1 to 2];
{ قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ }
{ ٱلَّذِینَ هُمۡ فِی صَلَاتِهِمۡ خَـٰشِعُونَ }
Certainly will the believers have succeeded:
They who are during their prayer humbly intent;
